Matt Hill, Chief Performance Coach
Matt is a dedicated husband and father to two boys. He has been a Firefighter since 2002 and has been a Fire Chief since 2023. Matt currently works for a fire department in Southern California. He has always gravitated towards fitness in the fire service as he has competed in the California Firefighter Olympics for many years bringing home multiple gold medals in multiple events. Matt has also competed multiple times in the Firefighter Combat Challenge which is famously known as the toughest 2 minutes in sports.
Matt’s desire to better himself and others led him to seek out a personal training certification with the International Sports Sciences Association. In addition to being a Certified Personal Trainer, Matt is a Certified Group Fitness Specialist with ISSA, Certified TRX Pro and, of course, a Kettlebell Master Trainer. Matt’s clients ages range from 14 to 65 years old, all with different fitness goals. He loves coming up with different workouts aimed to reduce injury, increase mobility and strength which ultimately builds his client’s confidence.
An undisputed passion for fitness and coaching others to gain knowledge and awareness of kettlebell training makes the partnership between Matt and IronFire F.I.T. a match made in heaven.
Robyn Smith
Robyn Smith, Lead Master Kettlebell Trainer
When Robyn moved to Denver in 2005 she discovered kettlebell training and it was the beginning of a lifelong relationship. While playing Rugby, working as a personal trainer, coaching basketball and starting a family, kettlebells have been an important part of the journey.
Robyn loves working with her senior clients, who all train with kettlebells, and also trains young athletes. Her first two kettlebell certifications with RKC inspired Robyn to keep learning more about the art of kettlebells. You will often find her juggling and tossing kettlebells around outside in the sand. Hiking, biking, skiing and swimming are activities Robyn enjoys with her energetic family.
After 10 years of teaching high school and coaching varsity sports, Robyn uses her enthusiasm for fitness to encourage others to give their best and enjoy getting stronger at any age.
